Product Parameters
Boron nitride is a crystal composed of nitrogen atoms and boron atoms. The crystal structure is divided into hexagonal boron nitride (HBN), densely packed hexagonal boron nitride (WBN) and cubic boron nitride. The crystal structure of hexagonal boron nitride has a similar graphite-like structure, showing loose, lubricated, easy moisture absorption, light weight and other characters of white powder, so it is also called "white graphite".
Theoretical density 2.27g/ cm3, specific gravity: 2.43, Mo hardness is 2.
Hexagonal boron nitriding has good electrical insulation, thermal conductivity, chemical stability, no obvious melting point, heat resistance in 0.1MPA nitrogen to 3000ºC, in neutral reducing atmosphere, heat resistance to 2000ºC, nitrogen and argon in the use of temperature can reach 2800ºC, in oxygen atmosphere stability is poor, the use of temperature below 1000ºC.
Hexagonal boron nitride has the same expansion coefficient as quartz, but its thermal conductivity is ten times that of quartz. It also has good lubricity at high temperature, is an excellent high temperature solid lubricant, has strong neutron absorption capacity, chemical stability, and is chemically inert to almost all molten metals.
Hexagonal boron nitriding insoluble cold water, water boiling hydrolysis is very slow and produce a small amount of boric acid and ammonia, and weak acid and strong base at room temperature do not react, slightly soluble in hot acid, with molten sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide treatment to decompose. It has considerable corrosion resistance to various inorganic acids, bases, salt solutions and organic solvents.
