Product Description

Brown corundum is a brown artificial corundum made by melting and reducing three raw materials, namely alumina, carbon material and iron scraps, in an electric arc furnace, hence the name. The main chemical composition of brown corundum is AL2O3, with a content of 95.00%-97.00%, and it also contains a small amount of Fe, Si, Ti, etc. Brown corundum is the most basic abrasive, and is widely used because of its good grinding performance, wide application range and low price.

Brown fused alumina is made from Calcined Bauxite. It is a hard and tough material, used in manufacturing of grinding wheels (both vitrified and resin bonded) and coated products. These grains are also used for shot blasting and as polishing media. Refractory grade BFA is used as a raw material in the manufacture of high alumina refractory.
