Strontium Carbonate (Nanometre) White fine powder or colorless rhombic crystals. Easily soluble in ammonium chloride and ammonium nitrate solutions, poorly soluble in water, slightly soluble in ammonium carbonate solution and ammonia water, and insoluble in alcohol. Boiling in ammonium chloride solution converts it into soluble strontium chloride. It decomposes to release carbon dioxide when exposed to acid or heated to 1340°C. In water containing carbon dioxide gas, it can be dissolved to form strontium bicarbonate. When hydrogen sulfide gas is passed into a suspension in water, sulfur can be generated. In nature, strontium carbonate also exists in the form of rhodonite.
Product name | Strontium carbonate Powder |
Application | It is used as raw material for preparing other strontium compounds, carrier of palladium hydrogenation catalyst, analytical reagent, and used in the production of fireworks, signal flares, medicine, papermaking, sugar refining, zinc electrolyte refining, etc. Glass made from strontium carbonate has a strong ability to absorb X-rays and is generally used in the production of cathode ray tubes in televisions. Also used in strontium ferrites, electromagnets, and in speakers, magnetic separators, and small motors. |
