Usually a polycrystalline aggregate formed by high-temperature treatment of inorganic non-metallic materials, usually including zirconium oxide, aluminum oxide, feldspar, quartz, glass, etc. It is generally prepared into the required shape through sintering, casting, computer-aided design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM), hot pressing, glass infiltration and other processes.
Uses:
Used for making inlays, veneers, crowns, bridges, artificial teeth and other forms of restorations or dentures, and cannot be used for customization of bases.
