The cold isostatic press places the material loaded into a sealed, elastic mold into a container containing liquid or gas, and applies a certain pressure to it with the liquid or gas to press the material into a solid body to obtain the original shape of the blank. body. After the pressure is released, the mold is taken out of the container. After demoulding, the green body is further shaped as needed.
Cold isostatic press pressing molding methods can be divided into two types: wet bag cold isostatic press and dry bag cold isostatic press.
(1) Wet bag cold isostatic press. It consists of elastic mold, high pressure container, top cover and frame. This method suspends the mold in the liquid, also known as the floating mold method. Several molds can be placed in the high-pressure vessel at the same time.
(2) Dry bag cold isostatic press. It consists of a pressure punch, a high-pressure container, an elastic mold, a limiter, a brick top device, etc. This method fixes the elastic mold in the high-pressure vessel and uses a stopper to position it, so it is also called the fixed mold method. During operation, lift the punch to load the powder into the mold. After loading the material, use a pressure punch to close the upper opening. When pressurizing, liquid medium is injected between the inner wall of the cylinder and the outer surface of the mold, applying pressure evenly to all directions of the mold at the same time. Use the brick pusher to push out the green body from the mold.
